Program: Using Web 2.0 to Engage Citizen Superheroes
What does Web 2.0 mean and, specifically, what does it mean for the future of local government? Tara Hunt believes it has very little to do with technology and everything to do with people. Her talk will cover the main tenets of Web 2.0: openness, collaboration and community, and what it means for you and the citizens you serve.

About Tara Hunt
Tara Hunt (aka “Miss Rogue”) is an author, public speaker and consultant in online marketing and social media for clients all over the world, ranging from nonprofits and government organizations to tech start-ups and bricks-and-mortar businesses. She believes strongly in the power of building relationships through online community. After working more than six years in online community, she cofounded Citizen Agency (http://citizenagency.com) in 2006 to teach clients how to work more effectively with the communities they serve using nontraditional marketing techniques. Her book about online communities and social capital, The Whuffie Factor (Crown Business/Random House), will be published in April.
